In addition to the Port of Dieppe staff, professionals are available on the premises to run the services offered to ships - towing, dredging, piloting and mooring. The State public services available at the Harbour also have their own force - Harbourmaster, Public Delegation to the Sea and Coast, Customs, Maritime Police (Gendarmerie), Volunteers from the Sea Rescue Service (SNSM). Moreover, companies based on the precinct of the French Public Maritime Domain have their own operatives: DFDS Seaways; the shipyard; the SAIPOL factory; SNC Graves de Mer; boat sales, repair and construction companies; maritime operators (Humann et Taconet, Promaritime, Bolloré) who hire for port handling operators; hauliers and carriers; fishermen; wholesale fish merchants. Finally sports associations are also staffed with professionals: the Dieppe Sailing Club; the Dieppe Sea Rowing Nautical Club; the Dieppe Underwater Sports Club; Sails & Cliffs…; the volunteers of the Dieppe Sea Rescue Service (SNSM); etc.
All port assistance at the disposal of both vessels and freight involve a number of public and private service providers.
