Sea professionals benefit from dedicated services offered at the Auction Hall. Auctioning is at quai Gallieni off the Duquesne basin with an access to high seas via a lock open 2 hours before high tide and 1 hour after.

The Ango basin is not tidally restricted and fishermen can unload their harvest at quai du Carénage and quai de la Cale. Water and shore power available. Port staff prepares auctioning Monday through Saturday.
Fishing Services at quai Gallieni: flexible opening hours

  • Services Operation: Monday through Saturday from 0530 hrs to 1300 hrs outside scallop season and from 0530 hrs to 1145 hrs during scallop season;
  • Auction: Monday through Friday at 0545 hrs outside scallop season and Monday through Saturday at 0545 hrs during scallop season.

Services

  • Quai Gallieni and quai Duquesne are fitted with shore power outlets;
  • Quai du Tonkin is equipped with an ice tower;
  • The shipyard at the Paris basin is equipped with a lifting system for vessel maintenance;
  • The Fishing Port offers a 870 m2 refrigerated hall with 5 cold-storage units; unloading and weighing equipment; boxes and crates; an ice-tower; a boat lift (max. 280 t) and 6 moorings; fishermen’s processing and cold storage amenities and forwarding facilities; and a supply chain platform.

Vehicle access into the Fisheries activity zone is controlled via a badge control system.

Waste management:
Quai de la Cale and quai du Carénage
Marpol V waste can be disposed of in brown/green 700-liter containers at different locations:
Near gate giving access to fishing pontoon and near hydraulic crane.
Voluntary drop-off POINT with selective sorting of glass, packaging, paper and cardboard in the public area near gate giving access to fishing pontoon.
Quai Gallieni
Marpol point is located under the Auction Hall, near Fisheries Office with notices posted for easy locating.
Following waste can be disposed of at that collection point:

  • 1 brown/green 700-litre container for Marpol V waste (food waste, packing materials which will float, dishware);
  • 1 location on land for wood recovery
  • 1 SMPD (Syndicat Mixte du Port de Dieppe) blue container for recovery of fishnets and ropes;
  • 1 SMPD blue container for recovery of scrap metal;
  • 1 3,500-litre oil tank for Marpol I waste (used lubricating oil) ;
  • 1 drip tray for oil and fuel oil filters;
  • 1 pallet-box for used oil cans.

The Fishing Port also provides cold storage at the Auction Hall on the Trudaine quay side, to store fish waste produced by fishermen selling directly to the public, to street-side vendors and for un-auctioned goods. Access to waste room is controlled via a badge control system.
Voluntary recycling disposal point for glass, packaging, paper and cardboard. Located in public section of Port, near access door at rue du Ravelin.

Quai du Tonkin
A pumping station for bilge waters is available near the ice tower. As it is fitted with a hydrocarbon separator, waters can be discharged into the Duquesne basin.
A grey water and black water pumping station redirects wastewater to the sewage system.

Shipyard

The shipyard located at the rear of the Paris basin houses all fishing vessel maintenance activities in one single location. All fish and seafood landing and commercialisation activities are grouped at the Auction Hall on Gallieni quay.
The shipyard boasts environmentally compliant renovated facilities, with a new high capacity lifting crane.

  • 1 15m3 skip for food waste (Marpol V);
  • 1 15m3 skip for metal and wire cables (Marpol V);
  • 1 15m3 skip for wood (Marpol V);
  • 1 750-litre oil tank with integrated retention for lubricating oil (Marpol I);
  • 1 drip tray for oil and fuel oil filters;
  • 1 pallet-box for used oil cans;
  • 1 cabinet for the recovery of used batteries.

Naval repair firms at the service of seafaring professionals have consolidated into a business cluster called Dieppe Navals.
